Jelena Reljić
Jelena Reljić is Research Specialist at Roma for Democracy, contributing social research across Strengthen, Protect, and Deliver. This work examines public opinion, political attitudes, and behaviour, translating findings into programme design, leadership development, communications, and institutional strategy.
Jelena’s work includes research on leadership performance, electoral readiness, leadership progression, and the factors that shape participation and collective action. Before joining RFD, Jelena worked across social research, civil society, and participatory initiatives.
Jelena holds a master’s degree in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy.
At RFD, Jelena helps the institution understand how people interpret democratic conditions, why political behaviour changes, and which approaches are most likely to produce durable engagement. This social and behavioural evidence feeds strategic choices across programmes, while a sociological and feminist perspective sharpens attention to structural inequality and Roma women’s political agency.
