Program Officer

Aleksandra Georgieva

Aleksandra Georgieva is Program Officer in RFD’s Deliver pillar. She implements work supporting Roma mayors, councillors, and other officeholders to turn public mandates into measurable delivery. Her portfolio connects governance capacity, institutional navigation, project development, and access to municipal development opportunities.

Over five years, Aleksandra has worked with Roma municipal councillors, mayors, and local leaders across Bulgaria, conducting interviews, facilitating dialogue with public authorities, and contributing to policy discussions. She previously served as one of the youngest municipal councillors in Razlog, giving her direct experience of the responsibilities, constraints, and opportunities that come with public office.

Aleksandra holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from South-West University Neofit Rilski.

At RFD, Aleksandra connects first-hand experience of local government with practical support for Roma-led public leadership. Her contribution helps officeholders develop credible priorities, navigate public systems, identify development opportunities, and build a documented record of governance that can strengthen institutional confidence and inform peer exchange across borders.
