Communications Director

Diana Boia

Diana Boia is Communications Director at Roma for Democracy. She leads a horizontal function supporting Strengthen, Protect, and Deliver. She is responsible for institutional communication, field communication, media engagement, and public positioning, ensuring that RFD’s work is communicated coherently from local action to European institutions.

Diana has more than 13 years of experience across European campaigns, public affairs, and international communications. Her work has included communications supporting European Commission presidential campaigns in 2014 and 2024, global communications for a Climate-KIC programme operating in more than 45 countries, and projects with Microsoft Europe and BBC StoryWorks.

Diana holds a degree in Management and Economic Studies. She is an alumna of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program.

At RFD, Diana connects strategy, evidence, programme delivery, and field practice through one communications system. She supports communication where participation is organised, protected, and translated into public delivery, while giving RFD a clear voice with partners, decision-makers, media, and wider audiences. Each pillar retains its distinct purpose while the foundation speaks as one institution.
